Permanent Eyeliner/Brows/Lip Blush
The Best Permanent Makeup Services Right Here in Maine!
Instead of performing traditional tattoos using traditional ink, we offer something called “micropigmentation”. This procedure uses thicker, less concentrated pigments that allow for a more natural look. We do NOT perform micro-blading for brows, nor do we recommend it due to the scar tissue it will cause to your skin.
The whole procedure lasts a few years (2-5 in most cases) before the color fades. While that actually sounds more like a “semi-permanent” tattoo, it is considered “permanent” as you are able to come in for a touchup to bring the color right back to life! You may even be able to change the style and/or color from the original procedure if you’d like.
The #1 most popular service we provide at our spa, permanent brows have skyrocketed in popularity in recent years. Note: price depends on your permanent makeup artist.
3D HAIR STROKES – $575-$775
3D Strokes are done using a machine technique designed to resemble realistic eyebrow hair. You would want this cosmetic treatment if you have little to no natural eyebrows.
OMBRE POWDER BROW – $675-$875
Ombre is a permanent powdered brow technique for those who prefer fuller results than the 3D strokes would provide, but still want them to appear very soft. This look resembles traditional makeup done with an eyebrow pencil or eyebrow shadow.
COMBO BROW – $875-$1100
The “Combo” is a combination of a machine shading and 3D hair stroke technique. This technique is perfect for clients who like the look of a soft penciled or powdered eyebrow or for clients wanting a more defined look throughout their eyebrows.
We specialize in very natural looking permanent eyeliner and typically avoid eccentric colors/styles. We typically refuse to perform (and advise against) permanent eyeliner tattoos for cat eye liner, colored liner and even black liner on lighter skin tones/color. Brown with a drop of black is usually a more flattering fit. Most experienced permanent makeup artists also avoid these for their clients as they can sometimes droop and crack in appearance as you age. You’re better off avoiding it and going with an eyeliner tattoo of a more natural color/style.
LASH ENHANCEMENT LINER – $500-$700
Also known as invisible eyeliner, this type of permanent eyeliner tattoo involves applying an ultra-thin black line along the lash line to create the illusion of fuller, darker lashes. This gives a very natural, eye-opening effect.
***Price includes top & bottom. For JUST top OR bottom, price is $400.
SMUDGE LINER $750-$950
This particular permanent eyeliner gives a more dramatic look resembling traditional makeup. One of the most common beauty procedures done at our spa because everyone loves it!
***Price includes top & bottom. For JUST top OR bottom, price is $600
Lip Color (Permanent Lip Makeup)
Our cosmetic lip tattooing procedures enhance or correct your lips. If you’re one that is tired of applying your own lipstick, has discoloration or would like fuller lips without regular lip filler, one of the below lip procedures is for you!
LIP LINER – $550-$750
Lip Liner pays attention to your natural lip color to give more definition and correct uneven lips, which will result in a fuller appearance. This also helps prevent lipstick from bleeding and can minimize the appearance of wrinkles.
MATTE LIPSTICK – $800-$1200
Matte Lipstick is a type of lip blushing treatment that gives the lips even, full coverage effect from the contour to the inner lips. We have a variety of colors to choose from.
LIP BLUSH / LIP GLOSS – $1200-$1600
The lip blushing procedure is a newer permanent treatment that enhances the natural shape of your lips while giving them boost, symmetry and color. One lip blushing session gives your lips 30% more volume that will last, unlike fillers.
OMBRE LIP – $1000-$1200
Ombre will give a faded shading effect from the lip contour to the inner lips. The pigment is darkest at the edge of the lip line and the lightest in the middle. Unlike lip blushing, it has a gradual fade effect.
COLOR CORRECTION – $450
Lip color Correction is for lips that are different colors. We can do just the color correction, or it can be an add-on before we do a Lip Blush, Matte, or Ombre Lip.
***You may need 2-3 sessions of correction before color is applied, at that point it would be $450 per correction session before the Lip Blush, Ombre or Matte can be placed.
Beauty Marks/Freckle Tattoos
BEAUTY MARKS – $300
Beauty Marks are a surprisingly popular treatment. It involves inserting small amounts of pigment ink into the top layer of skin where the cells regenerate. We do single beauty marks for $300, with any additional ones being $100/each.
FRECKLE TATTOOS – $600
The stigma against freckles has disappeared: once viewed by some in a negative light, they are now celebrated in fashion editorials straight from Beverly Hills! Those without the natural marks, you can get them done here very quickly and easily.

After You’ve Healed
- Exposure to the sun and tanning beds can cause accelerated fading and discoloration.
- When you are outdoors always apply sunscreen to the area once completely healed.
- Maintain removal of unwanted brow hair.
- Do not laser around the PMU area as some lasers can change the color of the pigment.
- Additional makeup application may still be required post PMU to achieve your desired look.
- Yearly touch ups are recommended to maintain your results.
PLEASE NOTE: THE RESULTS ARE NATURAL, FULLER LOOKING BROWS OR LIPS. INITIALLY THE BROWS, EYELINER, OR LIPS MAY APPEAR DARKER BUT FADE SIGNIFICANTLY OVER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS. ALTHOUGH WE USE PREMIUM PRODUCTS AND PROVIDE QUALITY SERVICE, ALL CLIENTS HEAL DIFFERENTLY AND MANY FACTORS LEAD TO VARIED RESULTS. IT IS CRUCIAL TO TO HAVE A TOUCH UP DONE AS IT IS VERY DIFFICULT TO PREDICT HOW WELL YOUR SKIN WILL RETAIN THE PIGMENTS. DUE TO THIS AND OTHER VARYING FACTORS, WE CANNOT GUARANTEE YOUR RESULTS.
Permanent Makeup Faqs
WHAT IS MICROBLADING?
Microblading is NOT recommended by anyone here at Permanent Makeup in Maine. Microblading is unlike other permanent brows in the way that it uses a hand tool with 12 tiny pins on it, resembling a razor blade. This tool creates tiny little paper-cuts with pigment deposited into each slice. It’s terrible for your skin and will result in serious scarring, which becomes more noticeable after the pigment has completely faded out. After 1-3 sessions it will start to become visible and you will start to hate your Brows. The owner, Ashley Beaulieu, is VERY passionate about her procedures and will educate you on the important differences between the two. Please do your diligent research when it comes to your face!
DO THESE PROCEDURES HURT?
We use three different types of topical anesthetics to help alleviate any discomfort. Having this service performed during your menstrual cycle may increase discomfort during your procedure.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO HEAL?
Permanent Eyeliner/brows/lips will take 10-14 days to heal. During that time frame, we encouraged you to let them naturally exfoliate off. DO NOT PICK AT YOUR NEW COSMETIC TATTOO! You would also be encouraged to keep them out of water, sweat, steam, etc.
Once the scabbing phase passes, your procedure will appear lighter and their true color should come out after 4-6 weeks. It is recommended that if you go outside, wear a hat as prolonged sun exposure can be an issue in the healing process. As long as you’re good at following the aftercare instructions provided, there shouldn’t be a problem going to work or being out in public.
HOW LONG WILL MY PERMANENT EYELINER/BROWS/LIP BLUSHING TREATMENT LAST?
There are many factors that determine how long your procedure will last, including age, skin type and lifestyle. However, as a general rule:
Permanent eyeliner tattoos – 2-5 years before next touch up
3D hair strokes (brows) – 12-18 months before next touch up.
Combo/Ombre Powder Brows – 2-4 years before next touch up.
Lip Blushing (and other lip tattooing) – 1-3 years before next touchup
Cosmetic tattoo treatments are considered permanent and will not wash off, though they will fade over time and may need to be refreshed annually. Those who did not follow after care instructions properly may require more frequent touch ups.
IS THIS PROCEDURE ACTUALLY PERMANENT?
Because the color is implanted into the upper dermal layer of the skin and cannot be washed off, it is considered permanent. However, the pigment is implanted more superficially than a traditional tattoo, making it fade over time and requiring future touch ups.
IS THE TOUCH-UP APPOINTMENT NECESSARY?
For any cosmetic tattoo, expect at least one follow up appointment 6-8 weeks after your initial procedure. Touch ups are done no earlier than 4 weeks after your initial procedure and no later than 12. You will be required to schedule this within 8 weeks of your initial procedure. You will be required to pay a fee outlined in the touch-up schedule if it is after 8 weeks. It is absolutely imperative to complete this treatment; at the touch up, we assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates, so if an adjustment is necessary this would be the chance to do so.
I HAD MY PERMANENT MAKEUP DONE SOMEWHERE ELSE, CAN YOU DO THE TOUCH-UP?
If you have had a makeup tattoo done elsewhere and need a touch up the full service price will be charged as if you are a new client. I will also need to see you for a consultation to see if you are a good candidate for my services. 3D Hairstrokes CANNOT be done as a corrective. At that point you can only choose Combo or Ombre Brow and that will be assessed during your consultation.
WHY SHOULD YOU BE MY PERMANENT MAKEUP ARTIST?
Permanent Makeup is an extremely meticulous procedure. Remember, this is your face and it is permanent. Not only has Ashley trained with the top tattoo artists/PMU artists in the world, she has also graduated from the best Micropigmentation school in the USA: Nouveau Contour USA out of Orlando, Florida. Ashley Beaulieu is also AAM Board Certified & SPCP Accredited since 2020 in Maine, uses only the highest quality pigments, and specializes in skincare as a Master Medical Aesthetician. When looking for an artist, do not nickel and dime your face: often times, “professional” artists don’t even have a blood borne pathogens certification. Paying less cost up front might end up costing you AND your face a lot more in the long run!
