Fibroblast

Fibroblast (aka pl@sma-fibroblast)

WHAT IS FIBROBLAST?

Fibroblast skin tightening treatment (aka pl@sma-fibroblast treatment) is a revolutionary method for removing unwanted wrinkles and loose skin. The term “Soft Surgery” is used to describe the treatment because it delivers results similar to surgery with no scalpel, stitches or bandages and minimal downtime. In comparison, surgical methods are far more expensive and have the risk of anesthesia, along with swelling, long downtime, and various possible complications with comparable results to the fibroblast treatment.

HOW DOES FIBROBLAST SKIN TIGHTENING WORK?

Fibroblast skin tightening is relatively new in North America, but has been safely and effectively performed in Europe for many years. Pl@sma skin regeneration technology has increased in popularity due to its many advantages over surgery with less downtime. The precision pl@sma energy device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between it’s tip and the skin to form a pl@sma charge. An electrical arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. This micro-trauma stimulates new collagen (neocollagenesis). A series of tiny scabs are left behind to attain the desired result for the excess/sagging skin. The skin around the spot tightens, pulling the cells closer together. It’s the only non-surgical skin tightening procedure that can reduce excess skin instantly and successfully.

WHAT DOES FIBROBLAST PL@SMA SKIN TIGHTENING TREAT?

  • Eyelid Tightening, including lower eyelids and excess upper eyelid skin.
  • Lifting of the midface
  • Lifting of the neck
  • Neck lines
  • Jowls and neck tightening
  • Reduction of loose skin on knees, hands, elbows
  • Lines and wrinkles around the mouth
  • Belly loose skin reduction
  • Tightening loose stomach skin after pregnancy
  • Removal of all kinds of wrinkles: upper lip wrinkles, reducing smile lines, nasolabial lines (smile lines), marionette lines, crow’s feet
  • Eliminating saggy skin

  • Diminishing stretch marks
  • Improvement in the appearance of acne scars
  • Hyperpigmentation/sun damage
  • Mouth fine lines

HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?

The effects of pl@sma fibroblast treatments should last as long as they would with invasive surgery. Like all surgical and cosmetic procedures, the effects of pl@sma fibroblast are not entirely permanent as it does not stop the natural aging process. However, the results you get should last you for many years. You should see a noticeable difference immediately after the first treatment with continuing results over 4-8 weeks. Lifestyle factors can also play a role, such as smoking, alcohol consumption, and prolonged sun exposure.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

The number of treatments required will vary according to the area being treated, skin laxity, the desired degree of correction and the individual’s response to the treatment. Most clients see results instantly and this continues to improve over the course of the following 8 weeks. Further treatments can be carried out to get better results, although is is uncommon to require more than two treatments.

WHAT KIND OF SIDE EFFECTS CAN I EXPECT?

Fibroblast Pl@sma has been shown to be a safe, non-invasive procedure when done by a fully certified technician. However, as with most cosmetic procedures, patients are likely to experience some minor side effects in the first five-ten days after treatment. There will be some tiny brown marks in the treatment area. This is the result of scabbing and will flake away over a week or so with some skin peeling, exposing a pink layer of healthy new skin. Some patients will also experience three-five days of swelling, especially with eyelid treatments. You may also experience a burning sensation during the treatment and slight redness around the targeted skin.

WHO ISN’T A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR A FIBROBLAST PL@SMA TREATMENT?

  • If you are pregnant or breastfeeding
  • If you have diabetes and healing disorders
  • Metal plates, pins or other implants
  • Cardio-vascular deficiencies including severe uncontrolled blood pressure
  • Pacemaker or any other medical device with an electrical current
  • Current or recent hemorrhage
  • Malignancy and chemotherapy in the past 3 years.
  • If you are prone to keloid scars
  • If you suffer from auto-immune disease or other illnesses which affect the immune system

*Always talk to us if you have any concerns before a pl@sma fibroblast procedure.

WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY OF TREATMENT?

On the treatment day, it is recommended that no make-up or moisturizer is worn on the treatment area; just come in with clean skin. We suggest taking an antihistamine one hour before your appointment and to continue taking them for two to three days after your appointment, as this will reduce swelling in the treatment area. A topical numbing cream is placed on the treatment area(s) and left to take effect for 30 to 45 minutes. Once the area is sufficiently numb, the treatment will begin with a topical anesthetic. During the treatment you may feel some heat and minor irritation. Swelling may intensify over the following few hours when eyes are treated and may last 2-3 days. Treatment time will last from 45 minutes and up to several hours depending on the size of the treatment area. Following all aftercare instructions is critical for best results. No exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment, along with rubbing or scratching the treated area. Some areas often require more than one treatment where the skin is very thin.

BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT

Avoid any kind of tanning for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment. Ideally, you should try to use SPF5O to prep your skin for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker skinned.

Avoid any other type of procedures on the same area which you intend to have treated with a pl@sma pen, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, and fillers. This may prevent your treatment being performed by your technician at the time you want it.

  • No facial acids (Retin A, salicylic, glycolic) 14 days before or 21 days after Pl@sma Pen.
  • No Injections or fillers 21 days before or after Pl@sma Pen.
  • No Micro needling/PRP 21 days before or after Pl@sma Pen.
  • No laser or peels (depending on intensity of peel) for 90 days before or after Pl@sma Pen.
  • Surgical procedures like face lifts you must wait at least 9 months postop/before Pl@sma Pen.

POST TREATMENT

You will be given after care instructions which you must follow to expedite the healing process. A follow up treatment may be performed after 8 weeks depending on your skin’s healing post treatment.

Do not use makeup after the treatment as it is generally not sterile. For the first 7-10 days after the treatment, until the crusts fall off, use the antiseptic product and aftercare cream, applying it softly to the treated area. When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary.

Sun & Age Spot Removal

WHAT IS HYPERPIGMENTATION?

Sun & age spots are some of the most common types of hyperpigmentation. This is a condition in which patients experience an overproduction of melanin along the skin’s surface, causing dark pigmented spots and discolorations. Melanin is the pigment that gives our skin its normal color – when it is overproduced it can often create dark spots and patches.

SUN & AGE SPOTS

Some of the most common types of hyperpigmentation, sun & age spots occur most commonly in older adults as a result of years of overexposure to the sun’s harmful UV rays. Sometimes known as liver spots, they can be characterized by dark, brownish or even tan spotty patches of discoloration – appearing most often on the face, hands, neck and other areas left exposed to the sun. This is part of the reason why sun protection is so important!

This advanced procedure is able to use its high-tech electrical tip to create areas of targeted cell trauma, damaging the skin in a series of spots on and around the discolorations. This triggers the body’s own naturally restorative healing mechanisms to completely heal and resurface the skin. This process produces excess collagen and causes the old, discolored cells to die off, taking the sun & age spots with it. These are replaced with new, youthful cells with a vibrant glow and completely brand-new complexion. Patients can expect their skin to be 100% smooth, and blemish free with some immediate tightening after as little as one treatment– without any scarring or residual spotting. This makes this procedure one of the most powerful skin resurfacing procedures available!

Skin Tags/MOLES

WHAT IS A SKIN TAG?

A skin tag is the general name given to a small, hanging area of skin growths, which appear along the skin’s surface. Occasionally, these growths will have somewhat of a stalk and can appear at any point on the body. Essentially, these growths are benign skin tumors, which means they are non-cancerous growths that are completely harmless, without any real reason for worry. They can appear in/on the:

  • Armpits
  • Groin
  • Thighs
  • Eyelids
  • Neck
  • Under The Female Breast Tissue

They consist of a set of cores, skin fibers and ducts, nerve cells, fat, and an outer layer of skin similar to our skin’s outer layer. Considering that they are benign and completely harmless, skin tag removal is purely a cosmetic procedure that is done fairly easily – especially when using the revolutionary pl@sma fibroblast treatment!

WHAT ARE MOLES?

Moles are extremely common growths or skin blemishes that appear on the skin’s surface. Generally, they appear in a circular shape in a reddish, brown, or somewhat black color – they can also be slightly raised or flushed to the skin’s surface. Sometimes called beauty marks, moles can be benign or malignant growths that can be a sign of skin cancer appearing at almost any spot on the body.
