WHAT TO EXPECT ON YOUR DAY OF TREATMENT?
On the treatment day, it is recommended that no make-up, or moisturizer is worn on the treatment area, just come in with clean skin. We suggest taking an antihistamine one hour before your appointment and continue to take antihistamines for two to three days after your appointment, as this will reduce swelling in the treatment area. A NUMBING agent is placed on treatment area and left to take effect for 30 to 45 minutes, When the area is sufficiently numb the treatment will begin. During the treatment you may feel some heat and minor irritation. Swelling may intensify over the following few hours when eyes are treated and may last 2-3 days. Treatment time will last from 45 minutes and up to several hours depending on the size of the treatment area. During your first appointment you will be given aftercare instructions. Following these instructions is critical for best results. No exfoliators or harsh cleansers can be used in the week following treatment. You should also avoid rubbing or scratching the treated area. Some areas often require 2-3 sessions because the skin is very thin therefore cell turnover and collagen production takes much longer. How many sessions you’ll need won’t be known until after you’ve had at least one session, because everyone’s skin is different and everyone heals differently.
WHAT IS RECOMMENDED THAT ISN"T INCLUDED IN FIBROBLAST PLASMA TREATMENT ?
In order to ENHANCE treatment outcome, We suggest combining other therapies with the medical grade technology used. One highly recommended therapy is LED light therapy. Red light therapy is one of the most scientifically tested and proven solution for anti-aging problems. The therapy activates production of collagen (which plumps the skin), elastin (which tightens the skin), and remove the acne causing bacteria by closing dead pores on the skin. Red Light Therapy prevents inflammation and it produces fibroblasts, which reduces the fine lines and wrinkles. Therefore, Red LED light helps repair and renew the skin and improve the overall healing process after the Fibroblast Plasma treatment.
If you get Fibroblast Plasma here at our facility, we include the LED light treatment therapy for the face and neck ONLY. If you get the Fibroblast Plasma anywhere else on your body, we will refer and reccomend you to someone local that you can contact to make an appointment with.
BEFORE YOUR TREATMENT
- Avoid any kind of tanning (Spray tanning, tanning injections, sun tanning and tanning beds) for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment. Ideally, you should try to use SPF5O to prep your skin for 2 to 4 weeks before your treatment, especially if you are naturally darker skinned. You may even wish to consider using a natural Tyrosinase Inhibitor to helps ensure there is no overproduction of pigment in the skin aka hyperpigmentation.
- Avoid any other type of procedures on the same area which you intend to have treated with Plasma Pen, such as laser therapy, chemical peels, Botox, fillers, as this may prevent your treatment being performed by your technician at the time you want it.
- No facial acids (Retin A, salicylic, glycolic) 14 days before or 21 days after Plasma Pen.
- No Botox or fillers 21 days before or after Plasma Pen.
- No Micro needling/PRP 21 days before or after Plasma Pen.
- No laser or peels (depending on intensity of peel) for 90 days before or after Plasma Pen.
- Surgical procedures like face lifts you must wait at least 9 months postop/before Plasma Pen.
POST -TREATMENT
You will be given after care instructions. You must follow the provided aftercare protocol to expedite the healing process. Follow up treatment may be performed after 8 weeks depending on your skin’s healing.
MAY I USE MAKEUP AFTER THE FIBROBLAST PLASMA TREATMENT?
Do not use makeup after the treatment, as it is generally not sterile. For the first 5-6 days after the treatment, until the crusts fall off, use the antiseptic product and aftercare cream, applying it softly to the treated area. When the crusts fall off, you may apply some makeup if necessary.
